Annie Duke might not have came away with her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but she is one of the most powerful poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie's long-overdue World Series of Poker win came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "young crowd" of poker go berserk following a big win at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mommy" to her four children. She was born in NH and was raised into a family of card players. If you don't believe that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught her how-to compete in poker.

However, Annie Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has earned her share of challenging matches, including knocking out Howard a few times on numerous occasions.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament action, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to develop his abilities and become a power player in poker.

You might glimpse Annie at the Bellagio, you'll see her on the tv and you may even play with her in an online poker game, but don't expect a simple win. Unless you're a up and coming master, you'll not defeat her. However, it would be fun to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
