Web poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players attain 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino's 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet's value is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount in accordance with the original wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino's hand. The bank pays chips equal to your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
