Poker has become world famous as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer's 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager's amount is on same level to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a sum in accordance with the original bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino's hand. The bank pays out money equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
