Beyond a doubt millions of players are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on 4 of the more well known "nice pros" of poker. Although "nice" is associated with their names when you are playing them it's "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tourney payouts amounted to in excess of 4.4 million dollars and he won two immensely admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine's Competition Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player's Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the humility to speak to his fans about how they will be able to boost their own game.

Howard Lederer

Referred to as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold'em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings exceed $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is 1 of the most active players in professional poker and between 2000 to 2004 he finished in the money in more than one hundred competitions. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also credited with the term "that's poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad beat. As of 2006, his life time winnings are almost six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured 5 World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins coming in 2003. Chris has the alias "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to throw playing cards quick enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament earnings exceeded $5 million.
