Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is frequently viewed as one of the most complicated but favored poker games. It is a variation that, even more than regular Omaha poker, aims for action from every level of players. This is the chief reason why a once obscure game, has expanded in popularity so quickly.

Omaha hi low begins like a regular game of Omaha. Four cards are dealt to each player. A sequence of betting follows in which players can wager, check, or drop out. Once all the players have either called or folded, another card is flipped on the turn. an additional sequence of betting happens at which point the river card is revealed.
